It is straightforward. The dining table is the centrepiece of the room. It is the largest and with the relevant number of chairs around it.
A typical Dining Room configuration - A sideboard for storage of the various items is beside the wall. Lighting over the table with side lights.
The shape of the Dining Table can be either circular or square/rectangular. In both cases, they are expandable.
The circular table is for Communal sharing of the dishes like in Chinese or East Culture.
On the other hand, the square or rectangular table is more for individual serving for each person.
