Is Feng Shui Unique?
Dr. Michael Oon
From my research, Feng Shui is a management system that covers the environment – the property and the surrounding areas. The development of the subject was aided by the Imperial Court of the Chinese Emperor where Feng Shui is a subject within the Five Arts. The Five Arts is a unified system of Chinese Metaphysics which include Tai Qi, Qi Kong, Acupuncture, Acupressure, a very sophisticated system of divination like QiMen DunJia, DaLiu Ren and many others techniques. There are no equivalents in the west for effectiveness and accuracy.
Vasta Shastra – are texts on the traditional Indian system of architecture with the aim to integrate architecture with nature.
Terroir - Over the centuries, French winemakers developed the concept of terroir by observing the differences in wines from different regions, vineyards, or even different sections of the same vineyard. The French began to crystallize the concept of terroir as a way of describing the unique aspects of a place that influence and shape the wine made from it.
Feng Shui is unique in that it uses the various elements of the environment for the benefit of the human society. There is no other established and proven system like this in the world.
