They can be placed in the Wood Element sectors – Southeast (Wealth) and East (family)

Also, in the Fire Element – South (fame)

09 Jade plant r 768x1024 1
The Jade Plant

The preferred plant for Feng Shui is the Jade plant. It has thick leaves. It is said, when the plants flower, you have a windfall luck

09 peace plant r
A Peace Plant
12 orchid r 1 576x1024 1
An Orchid plant

Other preferred plants are the peace plant and orchids

The reason for the peace plant is obvious. Orchids – the flowers are hardy and last a long time. This is symbolism for long-lasting.

The type of plant that is not encouraged in Feng Shui is the cactus. The simple reason – they are spiky and thorny. This provokes arguments and clashes. This is not what harmony is about.

Kitchen Area (Inauspicious Zone)
