Will the Regeneration of Stockton-on-Tees succeed? A Feng Shui Analysis
Dr. Michael Oon
Stockton-on-Tees is located in the Northeast of England. This region was once the industrial heartlands of the country. The industries are no longer there, and the people and towns have to re-adjust.
Since 2008, the Stockton council have been rethinking what the town centre should be. They have come to the conclusion that it is no longer about more shops, but it is about leisure, culture, events and recreation. It is to make it an excellent place for people.
They have proposed the demolishment of the “Castlegate Shopping Centre and hotel” to convert the land to a park linking the River Tees directly to the town centre.
The council have secured funding of about £36 million for the riverside project.
The purpose of this post is to give an opinion on whether this project to regenerate the town will work.
Feng Shui Analysis
The river from the South passes the town of Stockton-on-Tees. The removal of the Castlegate Shopping centre will allow energy from the river to flow directly into the town centre. The more energy, the better the outcome for the project.
Secondly, in feng shui, there is a 180-year cycle comprising nine 20 year cycles. Each cycle is known as a Period. Each Period has predominant energy coming from a particular direction.
From 2024 to 2044, this is known as Period 9, the predominant energy comes from the South.
The River Tees which flows from the South will provide excellent quality of Energy to the town through this newly created park.
Comment:
With the removal of the Castlegate Shopping Centre, more energy from the River Tees will flow into the town centre
From now till about 2050, the quality of energy from the River Tees will be of an excellent quality that will flow into the town centre.
With the increase in quantity and quality of the energy going into the town centre, I can only say that the project will succeed if it goes to plan.
Conclusion:
I have high hopes for the success of this project. The creation of the park from the demolishment of the Castlegate Shopping Centre will help the auspicious energy from the River Tees to the town centre. I will await the good news from this regeneration project.
