Feng Shui in the Living Room – Decorations
Dr. Michael Oon
The Life Aspirations Formula is based on the Bagua.
The Bagua is one of the central tenets of Feng Shui and Chinese Metaphysics. It is a table where it links the eight compass directions to 8 elements. Each element in turn is related to a host of many other properties.
In this formula, we are linking the compass direction, element, its related symbol to the related luck.
The Eight Aspiration formula is thus:
Southeast Element - Yang Wood Money and Windfall Luck | South Element – Fire Fame and Recognition Luck | Southwest Element – Yang Earth Love and Romance Luck |
East Element – Yin Wood Health & Family Luck | West Element – Yin Metal Descendants Luck | |
Northeast Element - Yin Earth Education and Scholastic Luck | North Element – Water Career Luck | Northwest Element - Yang Metal Mentor/Patriarch Luck |
Let us take an example
If we want to activate the Love and Romance Luck, the element is yang Earth. Yang Earth is related to crystals. In crystals, the crystal that is related to love and romance is the Rose quartz crystal. The symbol of love is the heart. We can place rose quartz crystals or a rose quartz heart in the South West corner of the Living Room
If we want Mentor, Patriarch or Networking Luck, we activate the North West Corner of the Living Room.
The element is Yang Metal. So you want something that is made of metal, and it is big or impressive. More importantly, is the symbol. The Chinese have a symbol called the Kwan Kung – he is a warrior and protector. However, you can have a picture of your father or mentor and have the picture framed in a heavy metal frame.
You can have the various decorations at the various compass locations or corners of the living room.
This is an example of Feng Shui Decorations. You are decorating the room with objects or symbols that have a particular aspiration. Like many things in Chinese philosophy, many things have another purpose.
