Feng Shui in the Dining Room - Location

Working-with-Landlords

It is only logical that the dining room is next to the kitchen. Food has to be carried from the kitchen to the dining table. The shorter the distance, the better. Less carrying and less chance of the food getting cold.

The other room that it is usually next to is the Living Room.

Therefore, the most usual location for dining rooms is next to the kitchen and the living room.

Rooms as Areas

Older houses have separate a dining room with its own door entrance. Many owners have broken the wall separating the living room and the dining room.

As a recent trend, with houses sizes becoming smaller, the living room and dining room are being integrated into an open plan living area.

Rather than dining rooms, we are now referring to dining areas.
