Will McLaren F1 become a Championship contender again? A Feng Shui Analysis
Dr. Michael Oon
McLaren F1 racing is one of the pillars of the F1 racing community. Since its 1st victory in the 1968 Belgian Grand Prix, it has gone on to secure another 181 grand prix win and 20 World Championships.
However, since McLaren moved to their new Technology Centre in Woking, things have not been as smooth as expected.
McLaren began their move in 2006. In 2007, they were engulfed in the Spygate scandal. The original case involved a former employee, a senior engineer and the possession of confidential drawings of a rival F1 team. It then expanded to issues of disclosure. McLaren was fined USD$100 million and withdrew from the constructor’s championship.
In the meantime, the performance of the F1 racing team has deteriorated and led to the removal of the long time leader – Ron Dennis. He was involved with the ascent of McLaren F1 from the start.
Between 2000 to 2011, McLaren F1 ended the season between 2nd and 4th in the Constructors Championship. This was helped with the genius – Lewis Hamilton helped McLaren “punch” above its weight in the races.
Between the years 2012 to 2019, McLaren ended their respective season between 5th and 9th in the Constructors Championship. This is way below their usual high standards.
Feng Shui Analysis
The Round structure is the McLaren Technology Centre which includes a lake. The white regular shaped building is McLaren Automotive, where the McLaren cars are built.
Doors: There are no Main Door or Entrance. To enter the building, people enter through “huts”, and there are underground passages to the main building.
These two aspects –
the design of the building in an unusual shape adjacent to a lake.
The building had no formal entrances. There was no way to let the energy inside the building.
As it is, I do not see McLaren reaching the high standards that it is used to attain previous in its Hay Day.
