A study of two towns on the north coast of Kent. Both have long histories behind them, but one is affluent, and the other has high unemployment and is in need of regeneration. Why?
Part 1 Let us look at Whitstable.
There is evidence that this area was inhabited during the Palaeolithic era, bronze age and Iron age. There are remains of Roman ruins and harvested oysters.
It is an affluent town with activities relating to the harbour, tourism especially the oysters and restaurants
The question is, why is Whitstable so prosperous.
Feng Shui Analysis:
Whitstable sits in a semicircle of hills behind it. This holds any energy it receives.
Whitstable is near the Isle of Sheppey. The River Thames estuary widens, and it gets the energy from this water flow.
Therefore, Whitstable gets a constant supply of energy from the River Thames.
This energy is held by the hills behind the Town
Hence the prosperity of the Town over the ages.
