Using Feng Shui for the Location of Restaurants, Coffee Shops and Fashion shops.

There are a few feng shui secrets when selecting a location for your new retail outlet, be it a  restaurant, coffee shop or fashion shop.

Conversely, here are some guidelines should you be designing a shopping centre, food court or preparing a re-generation scheme.

Or, if you want to know where to find the best speciality or restaurant  – here are some tips

Restaurants:

Restaurants operate best when they are part of a cluster. The cluster could be restaurants of the same type or an assortment.

The cluster could be on the road with a particular compass direction or axis that is the most productive.

Restaurant as a Destination

Operating an isolated or single restaurant is difficult.

Recently, Food Giants like McDonald’s, KFC have been creating isolated drive-through restaurants. These are convenient for cars and are usually as a single restaurant in an isolated location. These brands know what they are doing.

The other type of destination restaurant is large offer something unique that make customers willing to travel the extra distance to the restaurant. The proposition changes considerably when the unique selling point changes.

I will discuss four restaurants.

  1. Bettys Café Tea Rooms is a destination Restaurant in Harrogate
  2. Phoenix Palace is a Destination Restaurant in London’s Marylebone
  3. Mango Tree is a Destination Restaurant in London’s Belgravia
  4. Sarastro, a Destination Restaurant in London’s Covent Garden
