For Feng Shui to work effectively, it has to be used in conjunction with 2 other factors. This principle is known as the Trinity of Luck. The three factors are known as Heaven Luck, Earth Luck and Man Luck. This has been described in a previous blog. As this blog is about the environment and […]
As this blog is about the environment and the application of feng shui, I will be describing the stadium and the stadium contribution to the success of the Club.
In these 3 blogs, I will make comment on Liverpool FC, Manchester United and Arsenal FC. They have dominated the English football scene for more than a decade each but at different eras. This post is on Arsenal.
In Feng Shui, there are 9 sets of 20 year cycle. In the years 1924-1944 (also known as Period 4), the predominant energy comes from the South East direction. In other words, if your building could “collect” this predominant energy, it would do extraordinarily well under the “Trinity of Luck” conditions.
This blog is about the time period between 1924-1944 which is also known as the golden period for Arsenal FC .
|English League Champions||6|
This is an outstanding record for any English Club.
There were 3 managers during this period. Herbert Chapman (0925-1934) is credited with the creation of the winning teams. Joe Shaw (1934) and George Allison (1934-1947) respectively took over on the death of Chapman.
The Description of the Stadium:
This stadium, known as Highbury is built along Avenell Road which is runs from North to South. The main entrance is on the “Art Deco” East Stand of the Stadium. The Highbury stadium is surrounded by residential property.
Feng Shui Analysis
The main energy to the Highbury stadium comes from the south along Avenell Road. Just before it reaches the entrance, there is a junction with Conewood Street. The energy from this street comes from the East. At the junction, there is a mixture of the energies from the South (Avenell Road) and from the East (Conewood Street). The resultant energy direction is South East which so happens to be the predominant energy for the period and this flows directly to the main entrance.
Arsenal from 1996 – 2006 at the Highbury Stadium
Since Arsene Wagner took over Arsenal in 1996, Arsenal dominated English League Football. This was their record:
|Cup||1996 – 2004|
|English League Champions||3|
In my opinion, the main credit for this record of success is due to the manager Arsene Wanger who was able to build a team to win these trophies. Arsene Wanger managed to get the right players and getting them to play together as a winning team. There are numerous occasions where this football team came runner up or 2nd but unfortunately, it is the winner that counts.
As stated in the introduction, success is dependent on the trinity of luck – the owners, the players with their manager and the stadium.
Highbury has limited development potential as it is surrounded by residential properties. Arsenal FC has built a new stadium nearby called the Emirates Stadium. Since their move there in 2006, Arsenal has not won any trophies. The new stadium does not have good feng shui characteristics and this deprives the Arsenal team the “luck” which separates wining from losing.
Arsenal FC are the top football club in London by far. It has won more trophies than their neighbouring London clubs – Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, West Ham and Fulham amongst others. The Highbury stadium has been good to Arsenal from 1913 to 2006 it has helped them win trophies.
The new Arsenal Stadium called the Emirates Stadium has not provided Arsenal FC with the luck to help it win the necessary trophies to keep its fans happy.
